Aventura is located along U.S. Highway 1 near the Atlantic Ocean and is considered part of the Miami metropolitan area. A visit to Aventura means you are just minutes from all the excitement of Miami and South Beach, one of the most well-known beachfronts in all of America. South Beach’s Art Deco District is located here, with its’ eclectic mix of restaurants, chic boutiques, outdoor cafes and nightclubs. Nearby Miami Beach is a palm shaded, wide sandy beach perfect for swimming and sunning, and the boardwalk that lines the beach is a great spot for “people watching.” A few of the other attractions within a short drive of Aventura include the Miami Seaquarium, Coral Gables, Little Havana, and the Miami Museum of Science & Space Transit. For arts & crafts, a day trip to nearby Hollywood, Florida is well worth the time. Trendy shops, jazz clubs, art galleries and stately old mansions line the streets of East Hollywood, and the Art & Culture Center of Hollywood is a visual and performing arts center that offers three galleries of exhibits that include decorative arts, sculpture and photography. You will find almost any type of outdoor recreation imaginable in the Aventura area, as well, such as scuba diving, hiking, biking, golf, tennis and water sports. The small town of Aventura makes a great alternative for a south Florida vacation, with all the amenities but less crowded than the other larger oceanfront cities.
