Party With The VIP
Where to go to spot South Beach's VIP and the hottest Hollywood celebs.

1. SkyBar at the Shore Club - 1901 Collins Avenue - Ladies, slip on your new Manolos; gents, get into your hot Dolce & Gabbana slacks: It's time to hang with the beautiful people at one of South Beach's most exclusive see-and-be-seen venues, complete with premiere bottle service, cushy couches and bouncers that rival GQ cover models.

Skybar boasts four distinct areas for your enjoyment, starting with the famous outdoor pool area. Second is the Rum Bar, serving 40 different rums in a secluded space with daybeds enclosed by sheer curtains. Boasting a four-poster wrought iron king-size bed, The Red Room Garden is a lush getaway, while the The Red Room, aptly named because of the scarlet laquered teak floor and various pieces of ruby-colored decor, is the VIP lounge where you might catch glimpses of celebs like Nicole Richie whose frequently bold-faced names make it much easier for them to get behind the velvet ropes. Skybar is a must-do even on a rainy evening - nothing beats lounging by its pool with a drink in one hand and a beautiful new friend by your side, swaying on a swing and watching the stars glitter above.

Club Amika - 1532 Washington Avenue - The newest kid on the South Beach club block, Amika has been packed with big-name DJ's and swarming with VIPs as well as a beautiful and party-hard crowd since its Grand Opening in August 2005. With curved decor reminiscent of the tasty side of the swinging 60's, the club mixes a trendy appearance with pumping house music to create an energetic atmosphere, in addition to regular private parties and fashion shows. As well as an attractive crowd, Amika boasts one of the friendliest sets of staff on the beach, alongside owner and popular South Beach figure Tony Guerra.

Di Lido Beach Club - 1 Lincoln Road
- After a night of indulgence in South Beach, the DiLido Beach Club provides the perfect daytime respite. This elegant enclave, at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, has the distinction of being the only beachfront restaurant on South Beach where diners can sit right on the beach and enjoy direct views of the Atlantic Ocean. Rub elbows with Miami's VIP while dining at the 140-seat restaurant, which offers guests a relaxing beachside respite for both lunch and dinner in a beautiful Moroccan-inspired setting. Hanging lanterns, swinging hammocks, bright flowers, day beds and white draping curtains create the mystique of Arabian Nights.

Pearl - 1 Ocean Drive - Your first view of Pearl Restaurant & Champagne Lounge will leave you speechless. Entering Pearl’s main room just above Nikki Beach Club, you are surrounded by voluminous waves of fur-lined curtains and soon become totally engulfed an orange neon glow. Dinner at Pearl is an extravagant experience, but what the lounge truly specializes in is champagne. It's seashell-shaped champagne bar attracts celebrities like Sean Penn, Naomi Campbell, Sting and Enrique Iglesias. Thursday nights DJ Snezana gets the party started with the best of the '80s. The sunken Champagne Bar ($12 a glass) and open-air, ocean-view veranda are perfect settings for a romantic South Beach interlude. Pearl— a must see, must do.

The Rose Bar - 1685 Collins Avenue - Wednesday night parties at the Delano offer a glimpse at how the other half lives. Centering in the Delano Hotel's Rose Bar, but often spilling out to the dimly lit pool area and beyond, neo-Warholian hipsters, South Beach party monsters and the occasional celeb assemble to discuss everything from Nietzsche to the Sex Pistols in a dramatic cocktail setting. The Delano's impossibly high ceilings, diaphanous white linen drapes and warm ocean breeze that pours through the enormous corridor spanning the length of the hotel complements the sultry atmosphere.

BED - 929 Washington Avenue - Jumping in bed with girls is easy, as long as you have areservation at BED in South Beach, of course. The two (or more) of you can hop in the sack for a little dinner then party until dawn at a restaurant that replaces tables with plush, king-sized beds and mood music that heats up as he night rolls on. An acronym for "Beverage, Entertainment and Dining", B.E.D. takes sensual surroundings to a whole new level. Open since 1999, this restaurant/lounge offers divine dining, an enchanting interior and edgy entertainment. Feast your eyes on the Erotica Dinner Theatre, where fetish cabaret performances add a little spice to the aphrodisiac cuisine. And don't forget to make your way to the Wednesday-night party, where nightlife king Michael Capponi keeps the crowd up till 5 a.m. with deep house. Sweet dreams! Privé -136 Collins Avenue - International nightlife stars Michael Capponi and Ingrid Casares of the former-fabulous Bar Room have teamed up with Eric Milon to create South Beach's top tier affair—Privé. Located high atop Opium Garden's open-air complex, Privé offers a chic Euro-lounge setting where the elite come to party, and even though entry to Privé is more of an art than a science—and by no means guaranteed—those that do make it in will find themselves surrounded by South Beach's hippest crowd. One in the a.m. is when the fun really begins, and by 1:30 the place is packed.

Crobar - 1445 Washington Avenue - Crobar is a shrine for serious dance-music fans and top DJ's. Although Crobar South Beach is a bit more driven by the see-and-be-seen crowd of beautiful people, music is still vitally important to its extraordinary success. Top international DJ's such as John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Little Louie Vega and Ministry of Sound pass through Crobar regularly, and the club also showcases the most popular and acclaimed local DJ's, such as Eddie X. The 16,000-square-foot Crobar, housed in the historic Art Deco movie theater The Cameo, is divided into a 10,000-square-foot main room downstairs and a 6,000-square-foot, glass-enclosed VIP room upstairs that features its own sound system and DJ. A catwalk around the perimeter of the second level offers bottle service at curtained banquettes and excellent views of the action below. A giant DJ booth looms down in front of a vast plexi-glass wall illuminated by silhouettes of whirling industrial fans. For serious dancers or those who enjoy being among the throbbing masses as they celebrated the most progressive music in a visually stunning environment, the downstairs main room is the ticket. For those who prefer to party among the beautiful people the upstairs VIP room is an excursion into another world. Either way, Crobar is a stylish sanctuary for high-octane partying.

Nikki Beach - 1 Ocean Drive - Nikki Beach's Sunday afternoon beach soirees are almost as infamous as South Beach nightlife itself. Here, you'll find dedicated nightlife impresarios, models, playboys and jet setters worshipping the nightlife during the day. This sexy Saint Tropez-style club is where South Beach's most beautiful people gather not only on the seventh day of the week, but nearly every other evening as well. With chic surroundings, teepees, hammocks and flowing champagne, Nikki Beach has quickly gained reputation as a heavenly paradise on earth. The open-air atmosphere, retro '80s music, deep house tunes and delicious dishes may be why this is one of the most publicized destinations in South Florida.

Mynt - 1921 Collins Avenue - With a line outside wrapping around the block, Mynt is the place to be in Miami Beach's nightlife scene. If you do make it past the velvet ropes on a Friday night, you'll find yourself surrounded by the most attractive models in town. Dance amongst the party people while resident DJs spin sexy, stimulating sounds and high-energy house. Downstairs, the beat drops with the latest in hip-hop and R&B. Get your groove on with sultry singles, stunning celebrities and South Beach bigwigs at this ultra exclusive venue. Mynt has been featured in numerous fashion and lifestyle magazines, and according to management, "Mynt was born as more than just a club but a meeting place, a cool watering hole for the social elite, designed as a quality establishment reminiscent of the roaring '20s."
